Focusing
on Andrea.

Lara and Nichola contacted me back in the early summer to ask if i could turn my professional skills into something that would help the children who had sadly lost their fathers in Iraq and Afghanistan, in memory of one very loved man, Corporal Lee Scott. I was more than happy to help in this small way.
My husband and son were in tow for the launch day in Tidworth on the 28th August 2010 where I had the opportunity to meet Nichola, an inspiration to us all, and to do what I loved the most...documenting the events through my photography. Cakes, Bike rides from Kings Lynn, bands, martial arts and dance displays, radio coverage, the children and all the people who came to help Scotty’s Little Soldiers start as they meant to go on. The weather was good and everyone had a really good time, as well as raising lots of money.
Not long after, I left my family at home and returned to Tidworth with my second photographer Lois to spend 2 days with some of the most amazing people I have ever met to take the images for Scottys first charity calendar. Again the weather was brilliant (there is someone up there smiling on them all) the children were all brilliant, even though I reckon that the promise of ice creams in the park was what persuaded them.
The whole experience has been brilliant for many reasons, I rekindled a lost friendship with a very good friend in Lara who tirelessly works for the charity and has always given her everything to help the families that have lost their soldiers....and Nichola, I need say no more, her reputation proceeds her and all of Lee's friends who helped us on the weekend of the calendar shoot....some of whom are in Afghan now...take care of yourselves.
Its been an absolute privelage to be in a position to help and be part of something very special
