Scotty's Little Soldiers National Co-ordinator Lara said “it has been an amazing first year and I feel very proud to be a part of something so fabulous and of all that has been achieved in such a short time. It is an absolute honour to be part of Scotty’s Little Soldiers and one of the most rewarding things I have ever done in my life. Nikki is truly an inspiration."

The founder Nikki Scott said: "The last year has flown past, I can't believe its been going for a year already and what a year it has been! We have had so many highs such as some fantastic fund raising events and donations but the biggest high was probably sending out the first load of Scotty packs to the children, that was a great feeling. I am really proud of the charity and everyone who is involved with it. It has been a tough year where we have come across many huddles but through determination and the support of the fantastic public we have overcome those huddles. It has also been an emotional year with many times where I have been in tears and very stressed as I am so passionate about the charity and what to help as many children as we can but I have learnt over time things take time and patience to get things right and I am so proud of how far Scotty's Little Soldiers has come in a year. I want to thank everyone who has supported us."
