Wow is it that time all ready?!!!
Yep we are now in November and Christmas is approaching us fast.
This year Scotty's Little Soldiers has launched a Christmas present appeal where we are asking for people to kindly buy an extra gift when they are doing their Christmas shopping and to send it to Scotty's Little Soldiers head office so we can forward it to a Scotty member.
Christmas is one of the hardest times of year for our young members when they miss sharing all the fun and excitement with their Daddies. "Christmas is a really special time of year when families often come together so that's why I think you feel it even more than usual" said army widow and founder Nikki Scott.
"There is always going to be an empty place for Christmas dinner and one less stocking hanging up which will always leaves your heart aching and the kids feel it too, but you have to just try and make it as fun as you can for the children's sake. We have special things we do at Christmas to remember Lee and I am sure other widows and children of the fallen have things they do too."
Even the smallest gift for example a selection box would be fantastic and just helps shows the children that you care and are proud of their Dads too.
If you would like to help a child of the fallen this Christmas please send your gift or donation to scotty's little soldiers, PO box 202, Wisbech, PE14 4DJ or text a donation to care13 £5 to 70070
