Going the

Distance

Three walks took place last month in aid of Scotty's Little Soldiers, all three were amazing achievements and raised a massive amount of money for the charity. Paul Allen walked from Marlborough, Wiltshire to Lyme Regis in just 7 days.

This gruelling walk took a lot of stamina and determination and even through days of tough weather conditions Paul soldiered on.

Paul said: "As a parent I know how much children love their holidays. Hopefully this will give them a little respite from their loss and grief. I was very touched when I read about Scotty's Little Soldiers and feel it is very important we support these children through very difficult times."

A massive thank you Paul, a brilliant achievement, well done.

Not only has Paul completed a massive challenge but so have another group of people too. Sandy MacEachern, Colin Payne, Sheirlie Seabrook, Carolyn Davis, Stewart Saunders, Jenny Noakes, Dawn Waters and Mary Sherry completed the Midnight Walk of the Avon Valley Path in Wiltshire. The guys and girls walked the full 34 miles and raised an incredible £2,500. Well done everyone that's an amazing amount of money that will certainly go a long way to helping the children smile.

Five other incredible people, Cso4 John Pickford, Cpl Paul Lacas, L/Cpl Steve Hagar, L/cpl Paul Sheridan and Pc Colin Lawson all completed a 30 mile walk of the Imber Perimeter on Salisbury Plain on the 4th June in 10 hours and 45 minutes. The guys raised a fabulous £850. The men are all said to be really proud of their achievement and pleased to have raised so much for Scotty's Little Soldiers. The guys had a few sore feet and aching legs but not too many blisters, which is great news. Well done guys, great work.
