Martin and Vicky from Buckinghamshire are keen supporters of scottys little soldiers and decided to nominate the charity and put it forward to mothercare.

John Robinson, Head of Trading for Scotty's Little Soldiers went to watford for the morning to accept the cheque on behalf of Scotty's little soldiers and said " The cheque was presented by Simone and I was touched by the reception I received by all the staff that I met. It was a wonderful gesture and I was honoured to accept it."

100% of this donation will go straight towards the charities first large target of raising £450,000 for three holiday homes for the children of the fallen to have breaks away when things have got to tough.

Simone, administrator of the Mothercare Group said:
