First I had to get into my mum's car. Then we turned on the engine and started driving. When we got onto the A38 there was a long queue all the way to the M5, so we had to take the route through Yate to the M4. The sat nav kept on getting angry and was trying to take us back to the M5.
Eventually we managed to get to the M4 and we took the route all the way to London. When we got to London we parked in a random street and walked to the local tube. We got the tube from North Harrow to Wembley park rather than taking a taxi. Of course the place was full of people speaking foreign as we were playing Belgium that day. We walked along Wembley way to the flagbearer meeting point where loads of other children like me were standing.
About Fifteen minutes later the two ladies from the FA came along. I was very nervous. I said goodbye to mum and walked off with the ladies. We walked into the dressing room and did a few rehersal's and after that we tried it on the pitch three times before the gates opened. We then walked back into the building to have lunch. It was a chicken salad sandwich, a green apple, a Mars bar and a chocolate muffin and Orange juice. We did our final rehersal in the dressing room.
Finally it was showtime. We got into our group's. Me and five other people were holding a FA respect flag while the other six were holding a special edition Queen's diamond jubilee flag.
We ran out onto the pitch with the mascots and players behind us, then when everyone was on the pitch the Belgian national anthem started. When that finished the English national anthem started.
When that had finished the game started and we went back to the dressing room where we were given our goody bags, our bags with our clothes and training kit in and we were led back to our seat's. Soon enough the game ended 1-0 with a goal in the fourty fourth minute by Danny Welbeck.
We then managed to get into Wembley way with the frenzy 85,091 fans following us, we got onto the tube again and managed to make it back to Harrow and found our car again.
I fell asleep on the way back and woke up really hungry so we pulled into KFC to get some food. As it was raining like mad, we rushed to the door but it was locked even though people were still in there eating. They must have shut down for the night but let the people already inside finish quickly. We took the drive-Thru instead of going hungry and once we had taken the food we parked and ate it. Once we finished we set off again. It was 11pm by the time we got home, I got into my pajamas and went downstairs to see myself on TV. I went to bed at 11.30pm that day and thought about the wonderful time I had that day.
I would like to thank Scotty’s Little Soldiers and the fund raising co-ordinator Alan Knell for organising this and three big cheers for Nikki Scott. Hip Hip...Hooray! Hip Hip...Hooray! Hip Hip...Hooray!
It was an amazing experience and I 100% enjoyed it.
