New Hope Club perform for Scotty’s.

Beneficiaries at the Scotty’s Little Soldiers Christmas Party had an extra surprise at the end of the day when they were treated to a private gig by up and coming boy band New Hope Club.

The band, who have been touring with The Vamps this year performed in front of around 170 Scotty Members at the end of a magical day at Condover Hall in Shropshire.  New Hope Club are made up of Reece Bibby, formally of X-Factor favourites Stereo Kicks, Blake Richardson and George Smith and despite not yet releasing an album already have a huge fan base and a massive social media following.

The Scotty’s Christmas Party is just one of the many activities within the Charity’s ‘Smiles’ programme for children who have lost a parent serving in the British Armed Forces and is the highlight of the year for most families.  Scotty’s Founder Nikki Scott said “it’s the one time when all the families come together in one place and we see first hand all those amazing smiles.  The children make some truly special, life long friends and bonds and it’s amazing to see it happen here at the Scotty’s Christmas Party’.

Following the event the charity has received lots of thank you messages from it’s beneficiaries including this one from the parent of a Scotty Member “I’m in tears writing this because you and all the team/volunteers have given us such a magical beautiful start to our Christmas, easing the pain of another Christmas without their Daddy.”
