Lake District 24 Peaks Challenge

If you have completed the classic 3 Peaks, then the Lake District 24 Peaks Challenge is your next challenge! The feeling after conquering 24 peaks while raising funds for bereaved military children will make your efforts worthwhile.

The Lake District is one of the most beautiful areas in the UK, filled with breath taking mountains and valleys – it is the perfect backdrop to this awesome Lake District 24 Peaks Challenge, which will push you whilst testing your timing and stamina skills – Can you complete this monster trek and gain ultimate glory?

The trekking time is split into two days; day one covers the first nine peaks:

1. Bowfell – 2,959 ft
2. Esk Pike – 2,903 ft
3. Great End – 2,985 ft
4. Ill Crag – 3,067 ft
5. Broad Crag – 3,064 ft
6. Scafell Pike – 3,208 ft
7. Lingmell – 2,647 ft
8. Great Gable – 2,949 ft
9. Green Gable – 2,627 ft

Day two is when you will summit the remaining fifteen peaks:

10. Red Screes – 2,545 ft
11. Dove Crag – 2,598 ft
12. Hart Crag – 2,696 ft
13. Fairfield – 2,864 ft
14. Seat Sandal – 2,414 ft
15. Dollywaggon Pike – 2,814 ft
16. High Crag – 2,441 ft
17. Nethermost Pike – 2,923 ft
18. Helvellyn – 3,116 ft
19. Browncove Crags – 2,818 ft
20. Lower Man – 3,034 ft
21. Whiteside – 2,831 ft
22. Raise – 2,896 ft
23. Stybarrow Dodd – 2,765 ft
24. White Stones – 2,608 ft

When you register you will be asked which charity you wish to support and will have the opportunity to select Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

Please note that 80% of the minimum sponsorship must be received 10 weeks before departure, as agreed with the event organisers. If not your place may be cancelled.

YOUR FUNDRAISING OPTIONS:

Charity Sponsorship – pay a small registration fee and do lots of fundraising!

£95 reg fee + £800 in fundraising

Self Funding – pay the full cost and fundraise whatever you want, with no set target or deadline, which means there no cost to the charity!

£95 reg fee + £400 self funding

Remember, when you raise £50 or more online we’ll send you a special Scotty’s morale patch. Raise over £100 online and a FREE running vest or t-shirt will be on it’s way to you!

Here's how it works:

  1. Choose your fundraising option; charity sponsorship or self funded.
  2. Register with the Lake District 24 Peaks Challenge event organisers, and pay your registration fee, here.
  3. Set up your Just Giving fundraising page for Scotty's here.
  4. Update your fundraising page to let everyone know why you are taking part in the event for Scotty's Little Soldiers to raise money for bereaved military children.
  5. Share your fundraising page link on social media and ask friends and family to sponsor you, or encourage them to sign up too! Don’t forget to tag Scotty’s Little Soldiers or use the hashtag #HelpTheirChildrenSmile when sharing online.
  6. Once you raise the required target, as agreed on registration, we will confirm your place with the event organisers.
  7. Your supporters will love to know how things are going - Share your training journey along with your page link.
  8. Champion this challenge and earn yourself absolute bragging right, a sense of pride and achievement, along with memories to laugh a lifetime!
  9. Raise the final 20% of the minimum sponsorship within 4 weeks of the challenge ending.

What you need to know:

With this event you need to register with the event company, who will then notify us that you are fundraising for Scotty's Little Soldiers. You will then need to register your Just Giving page.

When you set up your Just Giving page, the information will come through to Scotty's. Please make sure you provide the correct contact details so that we can support you with your fundraising and help you secure your place in the event.

Our Supporter Team will send you over a confirmation email within 48 hours of the Just Giving page being registered. Our offices are open Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm.

If you choose the charity sponsorship you will have to raise 80% of the agreed target 10 weeks before the event start date. Without this, we cannot guarantee your entry with the event organisers when they contact us for payment of places.

The remaining 20% is due 4 weeks after the challenge finishes.
