Take on 26.2 miles in our May Marathon while raising funds to ensure bereaved military children and young people can access the support they need. Walk, run, jog or complete it in any way that works for you. Do it in one day, in two halves or complete the miles across the whole month of May. Complete the challenge your way.

Once you receive your first donation, we’ll send you an exclusive pair of Scotty’s Little Soldiers laces to provide an extra bit of motivation to get your footwear moving. Raise over £25 and we'll send you one of our fancy May Marathon medals to celebrate your completion of the challenge. If you raise over £100 we'll also send you a Scotty's running vest or t-shirt - it's your choice. Please note that the medal and top will be sent to you at the end of the challenge.

What are you waiting for, sign up today!

Here's how it works:

  1. Click on either the Facebook or Just Giving link above, and create your fundraising page for bereaved British Forces children and young people.
  2. Update your page to let people know: why you are taking part in the event and supporting Scotty's Little Soldiers, how you plan to complete the distance, when you will be completing your challenge.
  3. Share your fundraising page link on social media and ask friends and family to sponsor you, or encourage them to sign up too? Don’t forget to tag Scotty’s Little Soldiers or use the hashtag #MayMarathon when sharing online.
  4. Run, Jog or Walk your way through the 26.2 miles

What you need to know:

Even if you don’t feel in a position to ask for donations, you can still get involved, have fun and keep active. In the past, some people have popped a small donation on to their own fundraising page as a contribution, and inspired others to join them on the challenge.

If you’re still keen to fundraise but struggling to get sponsorship, why not take a look at our digital supporter pack which is full of tips and information.
